First Rausch Omicron in Ireland!

Earlier in the year Unbeatable Drain Cleaning were the first company in Ireland to take delivery of the very latest Rausch development, the Omicron. This unique system incorporates many innovations and new technologies and offers the benefits of a high-quality full feature system in a compact and portable design.

The Omicron system offers the best of both worlds!
Thanks to an innovative design the system can convert in a matter of minutes from a full feature crawler camera system into a full feature Pan & Tilt push camera system. This offers true flexibility and value to the owner.

This system includes the C90 crawler and the KS 60 DB Pan, Tilt and Zoom camera head. It has an operating range from 100mm up to 600mm and a 200m reach. The camera head is equipped with high intensity LED lighting and high-quality imaging modules delivering crisp and clear survey videos. There are a host of features integrated in the Rausch system to make operation safer and easier as well as more productive, pipe diameter changes can be carried out in seconds thanks to the single fixing stackable wheel system. The auto steer, cruise control and camera macro functions make for efficient and easy surveying. The system can be powered by quick attach battery packs or by mains adapter making the system completely portable.

The Rausch Tab includes twin joystick controls as well as a 12.1” touchscreen display. The onscreen functions not only allow for easy system control and configuration but because the Rausch Tab incorporates a full PC the owner is free to install any reporting software package of their choice (e.g. Viewline, Wincan, Pipe commander etc.). WiFi functionality allows for connectivity to the web and all usual functions available on a PC/Laptop such as cloud storage, email, etc. It’s all about choice and finding the best fit for the customer.

As a constantly growing business we are always looking for new technologies and systems to help us to give Unbeatable service to our customers. Our new Rausch Omicron definitely lets us do that, the video quality is amazing and the reports that our qualified engineers can generate onsite using Viewline means that we can give our customers excellent survey reports without delay” – David Doherty, Owner, Unbeatable Drain Cleaning

ROM SmartCombi Pro for DCC

Exciting times recently at UTS as we handed over a high specification ROM SmartCombi Pro unit to Dublin City Council surface water department. This compact machine will carry out gully and drain cleaning in the same way that the largest vehicles do but thanks to its compact design it can reach areas that traditional gully trucks cannot.
With a jetting performance of 72 l/min at 200 Bar the operator can choose to operate via the 120m jetting hose reel or via the high-pressure circuit on the suction boom. The liquid ring vacuum pump delivers 9600 l/min air flow, an impressive suction capability on a vehicle of this size. In addition to the various suction and discharge connections on the tank, the suction boom offers unparalleled reach to either side as well as to the front and rear of the vehicle. This boom is also fully powered meaning that the operator can carry out their work with much less manual handling than traditional gully booms, the radio remote and hydraulics do all the work instead!
The unique design of the ROM SmartCombi Pro ensures a high payload even on smaller chassis cab units. The tank has been designed with a sloped partition which not only helps balance the weight onboard but when emptying the tank via the electro-mechanical opening rear tank door the debris slides out without the necessity of a piston or tipping gear.
Further features include radio remote control with display, meterage counter, bespoke storage solutions, lighting package, handwash station, under tank drawer units, charging areas for cameras and tools and a heated clothes locker for workwear.

Another Rausch for M&T Plant Hire

After working with their first Rausch Camera systems for several years already, we were delighted to see M&T Plant Hire come back again to add an even larger Rausch Mobile Pro Camera system to their fleet.

The Mobile Pro system includes the C90 and C135 crawlers as well as the KS 60 DB and KS 135C Pan, Tilt and Zoom camera heads. The system has an operating range from 100mm up to 2500mm and a 300m reach. The camera heads are equipped with high intensity LED lighting and high quality imaging modules delivering crisp and clear survey videos. There are a host of features integrated in the Rausch system to make operation safer and easier as well as more productive, pipe diameter changes can be carried out in seconds thanks to the single fixing stackable wheel system and quick connect camera and riser attachments. The cable management system at the rear of each crawler offers unrivalled protection to the cable to avoid cuts and breaks, and the auto steer, cruise control and camera macro functions make for efficient and easy surveying.

New Wiedemann for Walsh Waste

We were delighted to recently deliver another Wiedemann Super 1000-OW to Walsh Waste in Galway. Walsh Waste are no strangers to the Wiedemann range of vehicles having already built up a significant fleet of Wiedemann trucks over the years ranging from Recyclers, to Specialist ADR and Jet-Vac units. During this delivery we were happy to surprise them with a second truck delivery, also in their eye-catching company colours, albeit a model one!

This latest Wiedemann addition to the fleet is built on a Mercedes Actros 2543 which was supplied by Kinahan Commercials. The vehicle has been designed to maximise tank volume while at the same time minimising the wheelbase, making it highly manoeuvrable even in tight city streets or country lanes and driveways.

The high efficiency Wiedemann liquid-ring vacuum pump delivers 3000 m3/hr and the 25m length of primary suction hose is quickly, safely and easily deployed via the combined boom which has a significant reach to the rear and either side of the vehicle. The secondary suction hose reel mounted on the side of the vehicle holds over 30m of suction hose and is electro-hydraulically operated. Whether tank emptying or deep lift applications, this truck certainly has the power and the reach to get the job done.

On the High pressure side the vehicle is equipped with a URACA KD 716 delivering 333 l/min at 170 Bar. Hose reels include 220m of 1” hose as well as 100m of ½” hose, all hose reels have automatic hose layering equipment as well as meter counting systems. As is the case with all jetting machines, the jetting system is not complete without a suitable range of nozzles. Walsh Waste are certainly equipped to tackle even the most difficult jobs with the comprehensive range of nozzles on-board such as high efficiency desilting and blockage nozzles as well as the hugely powerful ENZ Bulldog Nozzle.

The 13,000 litre fully stainless steel tank is divided between water and sludge using the Wiedemann hydraulic piston. This piston system offers significant operational and safety benefits over conventional vacuum/pressure operated piston systems. The hydraulic piston can be positioned at any point along the tank and not just at pre-defined locking points, this means that the operator can choose from an almost infinite amount of tank division ratios.

Emptying debris from the tank is also a much more controlled and safer activity than with conventional pistons, the hydraulic piston pushes the debris from the tank in a controlled manner right to the very end of the tank. There is no risk of “piston slap”, this can happen with conventional pistons as the pressure behind the piston causes it to “jump” and collide at speed with the piston stoppers at the rear of the tank. Generally when this happens the piston itself becomes damaged and has to be removed from the tank to be repaired. It is clear that Walsh Waste place a high regard on safety and efficient operations when we see them incorporate such technologies as the hydraulic piston in their vehicles. The piston is completely automated, the piston position can be set and monitored on the LCD information display screen at the control panel.

To further enhance the safety, welfare and comfort of the operator, the vehicle includes various equipment such as heated clothes lockers, hydraulic lifting winch, bespoke storage locker solutions, Full radio remote with LCD information display panel, Hygiene station and all around work zone lighting package.

UTS would like to thank Walsh Waste for their continued business and wish them the best of luck with this latest addition to their ever growing fleet of Wiedemann trucks.

SpeedyCare UVC Disinfection Systems Launched

We are very pleased to announce that we have added a high quality range of UV-C Disinfection systems to our product offering. This equipment is ideal for fast and effective disinfection of areas. The systems are cost effective and scientifically proven against a wide range of viruses, bacteria & fungi including Covid-19.

Private businesses and public organisations are currently subjected to continued interruption of their operations due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Through the use of UV-C technology, the SpeedyCare™ UV family of disinfection robots can help to minimise the risk of employees and customers contracting unnecessary infections.

This is a scientifically proven technology that inactivates the ability of the virus to infect and reproduce, and is proven to be 99.99% effective.

Scientifically Proven:

The SpeedyCare UV Systems are innovative robots, emitting UV-C light in the germicidal range of 245nm to overcome the threat of pathogens like viruses, bacteria & fungi. UV-C is an electromagnetic radiation that destroys the ability of micro-organisms to reproduce by causing photochemical changes in nucleic acids. They are absorbed by these acids, disabling their ability to perform vital cellular functions.

Designed specifically to combat Covid-19, the SpeedyCare™ systems instantly deliver a lethal dose of radiation to pathogens both on surfaces and within the air, which de-activates their ability to reproduce and therefore spread infection.

Suitable For Use:

Suitable for use across the board, systems are already widely being used in the following areas:

Hospitals: Suitable for use in operating theatres, wards & corridors.

Hotels & restaurants: The robot’s versatility, portability, and cleaning speeds make it perfect for use within a hotel housekeeping routine.

Gyms: Fitness machines, changing rooms, toilets and other common spaces can be effectively and quickly disinfected.

Public transportation: Hi-density spaces represent a typical situation in which viruses can easily reproduce, the SpeedyCare™ Systems can effectively eradicate any increased risks within this environment.

Schools & education: Within minutes, SpeedyCare™ UV will deactivate viruses on surfaces & within the air in classrooms, corridors & bathrooms.

Shops & retail: The Covid-19 outbreak at the beginning of 2020 has created a new mindset when it comes to disinfection in retail, making SpeedyCare™ the perfect candidates for daily use.
